What is diatomaceous earth?

Diatomaceous earth is a naturally occurring, soft sedimentary rock made up of the fossilized remains of tiny aquatic organisms called diatoms. Composed primarily of silica, It has a variety of uses across multiple industries due to its unique properties.

How does the drying mat work?

Our product works by utilizing the natural absorbent properties of diatomaceous earth. It quickly absorbs and dries moisture through its porous surface. This feature helps keep kitchen countertops and floors dry, preventing the growth of mold and bacteria.

Why is there so much dust on the mats when unboxed?

During the manufacturing process of mats, dust is generated when sanding and polishing are performed to achieve a smooth finish. This dust is harmless and can be easily wiped away with a damp cloth or paper towel.

Is diatomaceous earth safe for human and pet?

Yes, diatomaceous earth is safe for them. Our product is made from natural diatomaceous earth that has passed food safety test and Prop 65 test making it environmentally friendly. Prop 65 test means asbestos and lead free.

Is it easy to clean and maintain?

Yes, it is. Light stains can be wiped away with a damp cloth or wet wipe, while tougher stains can be sanded with the included sandpaper. Afterward, simply keep it in a well-ventilated area.

Does mold grow on diatomaceous earth mats?

Diatomaceous earth mats are designed to prevent mold growth. Their quick-drying properties reduce the likelihood of mold forming. Proper care and maintenance further help in preventing mold.
